We meet the first Thursday of every month,
(except January) our doors open at 7:30pm or 8:00pm during daylight saving.
The meeting generally finishes around 9:30pm - 10:00pm depending on
activity and weather. The meetings include an astronomical talk and
viewing if clear along with information about interesting objects to
view that month. It also gives members and guests a chance to get
together to talk about the stars or other topics of interest.
We also hold star parties
and social gatherings as weather permits at other times during the year at various locations
around the Horowhenua. We also make occasional
trips to other astronomical clubs around the Lower North Island like
